I was born in California, in Berkeley, at least this is what I am told and this is what my birth certificate says. My grandfather tells me that my parents are lying to me and I was born in a zoo in a Monkey Cage. He claims this is where my mom found me and had to take me home, because I was just oh so cute. (I concur I am cute) I did grow up in California for the first half of my life. Then came the 10 years I was in Canada where I did a lot more growing up, and now I am back in California.
I am a mom to my 4, (yes four) amazing children. K is 16, going on 25, A is 14, S is 13 and M is 7. Life is busy at our house, and I would not change it for the world. Although at times I wish the house cleaned itself, the laundry would be kind enough to put itself away and the stove automatically cooked dinner by 5 without me having to lift a finger.
I have many jobs, housekeeper, chef, chauffeur, nanny, nurse, judge, jury and executioner, prison warden, teacher, snot remover, mender of the broken heart, referee (my personal favorite), counselor, decorator, maid, personal assistant, and there really are many more titles I possess, but we would be here for ages. On top of all this, I am going back to school to earn my degree in Criminal Law.
For fun, if I have some free time, I like to cook, read, write (obviously. I mean what sane person would write a blog if they didn't love to write), photography, gardening, spending time with my children, traveling, and more.
My favorite thing to do is, sit down on the couch in my Jammie's with the kids and have family movie night. It's lazy but so much fun. Lazy meaning, before hand I make miniature pizza's prepare snacks and popcorn, pour drinks and set the floor for our finger food dinner and a movie.
I am the keeper of the gold fish crackers, finder of the missing shirt that must be worn today or death will ensue, rescuer of the stray dog or toddler who wanders out the gate, and I am the world to four amazingly wonderful children. (Who by the way will never admit it)
Did I mention my incredible good looks and witty personality? I'm told I'm adorable, not sure I agree but will add it to my list of attributes that make me, me. I refuse to be a passenger in my own life, therefore I like to control my life and not let others do it for me. I come off a bit harsh at times, but this only because I have learned the hard way not to let undeserving individuals get to close.
Like any other girl I love shoes, shopping, shoes, clothes, shoes, accessories, shoes, purses, shoes and Tiffany's! I can live anywhere where there is at least plumbing, and a mirror, (Hey a girl has to be able to pluck her eyebrows!) Did I mention I like shoes? I can not, will not live without my coffee....just sayin!
Most importantly I am a child of God and I try to live my life in a way that honors Him.
